MADRID, APRIL 2020.- To support the process of overcoming the disease in less severe cases, to identify the potential for contagion in each individual with the greatest possible certainty and to structure a follow up system that may monitor the progression of the disease and will allow early detection of a potential rebound.
These are the main objectives of the initiative that the Spanish technological multinational company SATEC has launched and which aims to offer a preventive health tool, mainly in average and large companies, though it could also be as useful for public institutions.
The initiative, named Health Prevention and assistance service (PAS) is intended to stimulate a new culture of preventive medical care in organizations by keeping the health information of its groups updates so that will allow both improvement of decisions during the crisis as well as addressing potential subsequent health alarms. The tool aims to contribute on preventing, detecting and moderating the effects of health alarms on organizations as well as addressing decision making in crisis.
The Spanish multinational company has launched this service within its own organization with over 1000 people, applying a model based not only on technology but also on a method as a result of the work carried out by SATEC in the Telemedicine area and remote telecare services, both in developed countries and in the third world.
The result proposes a frame of reference that can be exported and adapted to other organizations and in the case of SATEC it has consisted on the following elements:
- Telecare service: made up of “local activists”, trained personnel in social/human/organizing care in this health crisis
- Healthcare capacity: through medical personnel, such as the “remote talent” available to care for those affected during the health crisis
- A technological platform: consisting on a telecare system giving support, registration and monitoring of queries and tests to get diagnosis and infrastructures and services for attention, safety and confidentiality of the data, as well as connectivity and scalability in the “cloud” through its subsidiary company, Interhost.

Medical care and diagnostic tests are not only a measure of support for the members of the organization, but the information could help not to overload the health system, thanks to the early detection of potential victims.
Knowing the vulnerability or immunity situation of each member of the Group minimizes the risks of contagion, facilitates the plan to return to normalitu and the general impact of the pandemic on the organization.
By maintaining the preventive monitoring mechanism over time, and once the crisis is over, the evolution of prevention policies allowing technology will be facilitated allowing technology to be applied on early detection, contributing, in any case, to the sustainability of the operation in organizations.
