Smart Development Hack is a collaboration of the European Commission and the BMZ (Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation of Germany) together with other member countries and technology companies.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed a heavy burden on developing countries, which are unleashing major social and economic consequences. Therefore, this initiative was born with the objective of developing digital solutions around the world to adapt them to the challenges these countries and implement them immediately against the COVID-19 crisis. This will be accomplished through well-structured digital solutions. Satec joined this initiative with the aim of transferring and sharing our knowledge and solutions in the search for effective resources, along with many other agents, as soon as it may be possible.
The best allies participated in an intensive 2 day hackathon presenting thi¡eir proposals to a jury, formed by the BMZ, the EU Commission, Smart Africa and GIZ, who chose the best projects from a total of over 1000 innovative solutions, in order to receive significant financial support to implement and scale their projects
We want to congratulate all the participants for their convincing solutions in the fight against the effects of Coronavirus in developing countries and congratulate the winners for their great ideas. After 2 days of intense competition you can see the 9 winners on the following link.
