Vigo, September 19, 2024. – Grupo SATEC has awarded prizes to the winners of its 2nd Tech Challenge, held last June. In this second edition of the hackathon, the team from IES TEIS (Vigo) emerged as the winner among ten teams from eight high schools across Asturias, Palencia, Valladolid, and Vigo.

• SATEC invited participants at 9 a.m. on June 14 to compete in its 2nd Tech Challenge via the Teams platform. After a tight final round, the winning team—comprising Ricardo Antón Dávila Carro, Brais Paz Alonso, and Juan Alberto González Cameselle, from IES TEIS in Vigo—claimed victory. Each of the three students received a scholarship to work at SATEC in the BPO services that the multinational provides to its clients at its headquarters for one year, along with a commemorative trophy and an Amazon gift card.

With the goal of promoting young talent, SATEC organizes its tech challenges to encourage secondary school students to test their knowledge in communication and networking and spark interest in technology careers. One of the winners of the previous hackathon, who was awarded a scholarship by SATEC, has been incorporated into the multinational’s staff after completing the scholarship she earned as a prize.
