Business Continuity Policy
The Management of the SATEC recognizes the importance of ensuring the continuity of its operations in the event of any situation that could interrupt or affect the delivery of its essential services. In this regard, it reaffirms its commitment to Business Continuity Management as an integral part of the corporate strategy and its management system.
This Business Continuity Policy establishes the principles, responsibilities, and general guidelines that enable SATEC to prepare for, respond to, and recover effectively from incidents that may impact its critical processes.
The Management is committed to providing the necessary resources, promoting a culture of prevention and resilience, and ensuring the continuous improvement of the associated plans and procedures. Likewise, it is guaranteed that the Policy is communicated, understood, and applied at all levels of the organization and is available to the relevant interested parties.
Objectives
Through this Policy, the framework is established for the development, implementation, review, and improvement of the Business Continuity Management System of SATEC:
- · The Management of SATEC is committed to ensuring that the business's critical services are adequately delivered, complying with the principles of availability, continuity, quality, and reliability to guarantee the provision of services contracted by our clients, through the implementation of a Business Continuity Management System.
- · The priority elements considered within the Business Continuity Management System of SATEC are as follows: safeguarding human resources, protecting the environment in which the services are provided, protecting the organization's assets, and ensuring the continuity of operations.
- · The Business Continuity Management System takes into account the contractual and legal requirements applicable to the organization.
Business Continuity Principles
- · The protection and safety of people is the primary principle and objective, both in normal situations and in contingency or crisis situations resulting from a disaster.
- · Representatives of the different areas involved in Business Continuity will be appointed taking into account the knowledge and experience necessary for them to actively participate in the development, implementation, review, testing, and updating of the Business Continuity Plans.
- · The development and implementation of Business Continuity Plans, in addition to internal areas, takes into consideration suppliers and services, using appropriate and proportionate systems, resources, and procedures.
- · The inclusion of security, privacy, and reliability criteria that reasonably guarantee the continuity of critical services provided by third parties, in the event of their outsourcing.
- · The adoption of reasonable measures for the operational continuity of processes and activities, according to their criticality as established by the Organization.
- · The preparation of internal and external communication plans, as well as the procedures that ensure their correct execution, enabling proper information to all interested parties.
- · The training and awareness of all persons involved regarding their responsibilities and the procedures to be applied.
- · The performance of tests, reviews, and updates of the Business Continuity Plans periodically or in the event of significant changes, to ensure the continuous improvement of both the plans themselves and the Business Continuity Management System.
- · Cooperation with the authorities in the event of a disaster or necessity, assuming responsibility towards the society in which SATEC carries out its activities.
Responsibilities
The Crisis and Business Continuity Committee is the body responsible for promoting the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Plans within SATEC and is responsible for the decision-making and coordination of business continuity activities, as well as for ensuring the compliance, dissemination, and periodic review of this Policy.
Likewise, this Committee assumes the executive direction and management of crisis situations derived from a disaster that have repercussions on SATEC and require extraordinary economic investments or may significantly affect the organization's reputation. It will provide a centralized, timely, and effective response to incidents and will limit their possible adverse effects.
The Management of SATEC is committed to implementing service and business continuity processes that ensure continuous improvement.
