Context
In a constantly evolving digital environment, organizations must adapt to new technologies to optimize their operations and ensure the security and efficiency of their systems. The Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services sought to modernize its technological infrastructure through the adoption of a cloud computing model. The objective was to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure business continuity through a secure and scalable solution.
To achieve this, the need arose to implement an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model in a private cloud environment, as well as the management and hosting its own infrastructure in a high-availability setting.

Challenges
The digital transformation of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce presented a series of key challenges:
Migration without interrumptions
It was necessary to move existing systems to the new infrastructure without affecting daily operations.
Security and compliance
The solution needed to provide high levels of security, availability and service continuity, ensuring regulatory compliance and data protection with high cybersecurity standards.
Scalability and optimization
Implement a flexible model that would allow resource optimization based on demand.
Business continuity
Establish a service with minimal recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
High-performance connectivity
Ensure secure, high-speed data links between the Chamber and its various networks.

Solution
To address these challenges, SATEC, through its spin-off INTERHOST, implemented a comprehensive solution based on cutting-edge Cloud technologies:
Private and dedicated data links were established between the different offices and the Data Center, ensuring robust, redundant connectivity and access to services with optimized response times.

Results
With the implementation of these solutions, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce has experienced significant positive results:
Seamless migration
The move to the SATEC/INTERHOST data center was carried out with virtually no service interruptions, aside from the physical transfer time between the old and new data centers for non-redundant services.
Reduced risk of data loss
The implemented infrastructure replicates the primary machines in real-time to a secondary data center, ensuring rapid recovery in case of failure.
Cost savings
The adoption of the private cloud reduced operational and maintenance costs, optimizing resource management.
Connectivity optimization
Thanks to the collaboration with a major telecommunications company as a technology partner, all Chamber locations, including the Palacio de Santoña and the training center, are interconnected with the data center via high-speed links.
Ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement
Monthly meetings are held to analyze incidents and optimize the service, reinforcing client confidence and enhancing the operational experience.
Thanks to SATEC’s expertise and technology, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce has successfully transformed its technological infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security, and continuity in its operations.
